III: On Intuition

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

-Albert Einstein

Intuition is an ability we all possess. We need only learn how to recognize it and to use the information it conveys to us.

This is a concept most of us aren’t taught, especially not men. We are generally taught that if the intuition does exist, it’s a power held by women.

But, as we grow spiritually, we begin to experience the reality of it. We learn to differentiate between the often loud and anxious voice of the ego, and the quiet, calm, yet firm voice of the divine within us. When we hear this voice we feel secure traversing the clear path it reveals in front of us.

The path of ego leads to separation, sorrow, and suffering. The path of intuition leads to joy, abundance, peace, and connection. We must learn to discern one from the other. We must build strength and grow endurance to follow this sacred path.

On the path of intuition, we can find our true selves. We can be at our best. We can own our power. Here, we find meaning.

Let me begin to nurture the true and pure voice within. Let it drown out the voices of fear and doubt within me and among me. Let me honor and trust the sacred gift of my own intuition.
